Learn more about how you can participate in the updating of The Real Costs of a Sheet Metal Business!

SMACNA is inviting its members to contribute to updating a critical resource. "The Real Costs of a Sheet Metal Business" was originally published 35 years ago and has always been a staple of the SMACNA resource library.
This guide is designed for journeymen and supervisors to explore the true cost of doing business while remaining cost-conscious and competitive. It explores the bidding process by analyzing the direct and indirect costs of doing business and the relationship of productivity to bid fulfillment. The resource is intended to help employees realize the valuable (and expensive) role of personnel and overhead in the competitive marketplace.
It was last updated in 2017 and needs another update. In the upcoming rewrite, we would like to incorporate input from anyone currently using this resource. Please get in touch with Erykka Thompson to find out how to provide your feedback.
