Former SMACNA President Angie Simon received the 2026 MEP Industry Advocacy Award at the 2026 MEP Innovation Conference in Austin, Texas. As the first woman to serve as SMACNA’s president and the founder of the Heavy Metal Summer Experience, Angie has expanded career opportunities in the skilled trades for young people who might not otherwise have access.
