Longtime CAL SMACNA Leader Cyndi Marshall Passes Away

Cyndi Marshall, formally the Executive Vice President of CAL SMACNA has passed away.

For over 30 years, Cyndi supported families and businesses throughout California’s sheet metal and air conditioning industry with professionalism and vision. She started her career in 1986 as Membership Director for Sacramento and Central Valley SMACNA. In 1989, she moved to CAL SMACNA as Director of Operations and became Interim General Manager in 1994. In 1998, she became the first woman in the country to serve as a statewide SMACNA Chapter Executive Vice President. She held that position for 18 years, leading the organization with integrity and new ideas.

With Cyndi as a leader, CAL SMACNA grew by managing finances carefully and adding new membership services, recognition programs, associate member categories, and refreshed conventions. The association received national recognition from SMACNA as the only statewide chapter named a “Multi-Service” chapter.
