SMACNA Cohosts Dinner Honoring Rep. Don Bacon

Event highlighted the work done by the retiring Nebraska lawmaker and long-time friend of SMACNA and influential voice on several issues such as infrastructure, registered apprenticeship, and Davis-Bacon Act reform.

SMACNA recently helped host a dinner to honor Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE), who will retire from Congress at the end of this year. Chairman's Club Member Todd Bxybe joined others to thank the Congressman for supporting SMACNA’s key legislative priorities, including infrastructure, procurement reform, energy retrofits for defense bases, workforce development, Davis-Bacon Act reform, and registered apprenticeships. Since taking office in 2017, Bacon has been a valued and respected friend to SMACNA and many contractor members. Over the years, SMACNA has organized several events for him, and he has spoken to our members at meetings and conferences nationwide.
