The October 1 results are in; see where you, your company, and your chapter stand just weeks away from the October 28 competition deadline.
Even though the Oct. 1 deadline for Convention signage recognition has passed, the race is still on. Contributions will continue to be accepted through October 28 and will count toward this year’s Top Ten Chapter Rankings, Capitol Caucus, and SMAC-AF Leadership Club standings. The latest rankings feature several notable moves and major shifts across the leaderboard as chapters make their final push before the SMACNA National Convention in Orlando. Who will finish on top? Our updated SMACPAC Administrative Fund (SMAC-AF) standings highlight a tightly contested competition, while the new SMACPAC Top 100 honor roll shines a spotlight on the individuals helping strengthen our industry's voice in Washington.
The Top Ten chapters are selected based on the total combined contributions to SMACPAC and SMAC-AF received between Sept. 16, 2025 and Oct. 28, 2026.

Leading the Way Southern California continues to lead the pack, but the race is tightening. After surging from 5th to 2nd place, Western Oklahoma has emerged as a serious contender for the top spot. Meanwhile, Oregon & Western Washington sits less than $1,400 behind Western Oklahoma, setting the stage for a fierce battle as chapters make their final push toward the finish line.
Western Washington Reclaims a Top Five Spot After sitting in sixth place on September 27, Western Washington moved up two spots to No. 4, leapfrogging Metropolitan Detroit and narrowing the gap with the chapters ahead.
A Close Race The race for positions eight and nine could hardly be closer. Cleveland climbed from 10th to 8th place, bumping New York City and Boston into 9th and 10th place, respectively.
Closing in on the Top Ten Western Pennsylvania, Northern Indiana, Greater Chicago, Long Island, and the Mid-Atlantic chapters are jostling for a coveted Top Ten finish. With just $3,753 separating No. 11 Western Pennsylvania from knocking Boston out of 10th place, the race remains wide open. Click here to see the full list of our chapter competitors!
Congratulations to Central Indiana and Miami Valley, OH chapters, both of whom advanced from Gold to Platinum Status, joining the Capitol Caucus’s highest recognition level.
As a result of those promotions:
The SMACPAC Top 100 recognizes the industry’s leading supporters based on personal contributions made to SMACPAC between Sept. 16, 2025, and Oct. 28, 2026. This recognition is an investment in our collective ability to advocate for contractors, protect opportunities for union construction, and keep our skilled workforce strong. The decisions made in Washington affect your business every day. A well-supported SMACPAC gives our industry a stronger voice in those decisions. Click here to view the top 100 as of Oct. 1, 2026.
Although the Oct. 1 deadline for Convention signage recognition has passed, contributions received through October 28 will still count toward this year's Top Ten rankings & Capitol Caucus, SMACPAC Top 100 honor roll, and SMAC-AF Leadership Club membership.
Supporting the SMAC Administrative Fund (SMAC-AF) strengthens SMACNA's advocacy efforts while helping your chapter climb the rankings. SMAC-AF supports government affairs, advocacy, education, and member engagement initiatives that benefit the entire industry. There are several ways to participate:
The race isn’t over yet! The standings shifted dramatically in just four days. Western Oklahoma climbed three spots. Western Washington moved back into the Top Five. Cleveland jumped ahead two positions. Two chapters earned Platinum Capitol Caucus status. If this week's activity is any indication, the leaderboard could look very different by October 28.
Check your chapter's standing, see what's separating you from the next spot, and make your move before the Convention.
