New Horizons Foundation awarded a research grant from Stanley Black & Decker

The award comes from a grant program designed to promote non-profits active in supporting workforce development in the skilled trades and manufacturing.

The New Horizons Foundation has been named a Makers Grant recipient through Stanley Black & Decker’s Global Impact Challenge. In its second year of operation, the Global Impact Challenge program will award over $25 million in grant funding to non-profits supporting workforce development efforts in the skilled trades and manufacturing sectors. Applicants were evaluated on a multitude of criteria, including the number of individuals served, projected outcomes, long-term impact, and program offerings and depth.

The New Horizons Foundation is tasked with providing contractors with the education and information that gives contractors the best opportunity to develop their companies. Tom Soles, Executive Director of the New Horizons Foundation, talked about what the grant means. “We are very appreciative of the recognition that this grant exemplifies. We are excited to employ these new resources in the coming months to further the New Horizons Foundation’s mission of providing contractors with the critical information and resources that will enable them to best serve their communities.”
