In cooling mode, the Trailblazer® uses the refrigeration cycle to absorb heat from the cooled space/process and dissipates it to the ambient air. In heating mode the system uses the refrigeration cycle to absorb heat from the ambient air and transfers the heat to the desired space/process.

Both modes of operation save money during indoor/outdoor fluctuations of temperatures. Using Trailblazer® HP in a cascade system with other water-to-water heat pumps can further reduce operating costs, energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions while increasing system efficiency.
