Take Part in the National Safety Stand-Down

May 6-10 observance will focus on preventing falls in construction sites.

OSHA will hold the National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction from May 6-10. The National Safety Stand-Down raises fall hazard awareness nationwide to reduce the fatalities and injuries resulting from falls on construction job sites.

Companies can conduct a Safety Stand-Down by taking a break to have a toolbox talk or another safety activity, such as conducting safety equipment inspections, developing rescue plans, or discussing job-specific hazards. Managers are encouraged to plan a stand-down that works best for their workplace.

Take a moment to visit OSHA’s site on the Stand Down to learn more about the event and view all the available resources.
