ASHRAE Journal Publishes Article on Outdoor Air Ventilation

“The Impact of Outdoor Air Ventilation in School Corridors” details how increasing ventilation in these spaces can reduce exposure to contaminants while also enhancing overall IAQ. 

The April 2024 edition of the ASHRAE Journal features a Technical Feature titled “The Impact of Outdoor Air Ventilation in School Corridors.” School occupants (students/teachers/staff) can spend up to an hour each day transiting school corridors as they move throughout a building. With these factors in mind, this article examines how school corridors should be viewed separately from general corridors to improve both general indoor air quality and protect occupants from contaminants.
