Heavy Metal Summer Experience Seeking Full-Time Executive Director

Since launching in 2021, HMSE has grown from a two-location pilot with just 28 participants into a dynamic, industry-backed non-profit delivering immersive, hands-on summer camps for high school students and recent graduates across the country. Each camp introduces young people to careers in the skilled trades—sheet metal, piping, plumbing, electrical—and equips them for high-paying, stable futures outside of the traditional college pathway.

HMSE has built a strong foundation—partnering with contractors, unions, and industry partners; leveraging locations coast-to-coast; and earning national recognition through features in Forbes, Good Morning America, CNN, and The Wall Street Journal. Now, it's time to take the next leap!

HMSE is now seeking its first full-time Executive Director.

This role will:

• Lead strategic expansion and outreach efforts
• Recruit new host locations and partners
• Build operational capacity to scale student reach from hundreds to thousands
• Strengthen fundraising, sponsorships, and internal cohesion as we grow

To achieve the organization’s bold goal of serving 1,200+ students in 2026 and beyond, they are seeking an exceptional leader to drive these initiatives forward.
