The Lockformer Vulcan Fiber Laser Elite, launching in 2026, represents a major step forward in industrial laser cutting technology. Built on a new B&R/ABB laser control platform, this next-generation system delivers faster traverse speeds, a longer table design, and an ergonomic pedestal-mounted operator station. The upgraded Linux-based B&R control software replaces today’s Windows-dependent environment, offering a more stable, secure, and truly industrial operating system. With a Class I safety rating, the Fiber Laser Elite is engineered with fully integrated safety measures to provide maximum operator protection during all cutting operations.

Powering the machine is a suite of stronger, more robust industrial drives and servo motors, now upgraded to 750 kW, nearly doubling the output of previous models. Rapid positioning speeds reach 1800 IPM, supported by a reinforced mechanical structure and newly designed longitudinal slats that improve debris management and cutting consistency. Workflow-focused enhancements such as gantry parking off the table simplify decoiling and recoiling while helping operators maintain a smoother production rhythm.

To elevate support and uptime, the Fiber Laser Elite introduces advanced diagnostic capabilities. Operators can access local, built-in diagnostic tools directly at the machine for real-time performance data, fault alerts, and maintenance indicators, no external connection required. For broader coverage, B&R Site Manager enables secure remote diagnostics, giving service teams the ability to review logs, monitor system health, and assist with troubleshooting from virtually anywhere. This dual approach significantly reduces downtime and keeps production moving.
