The Kingspan KoolDuct System is a next-generation, pre–insulated HVAC ductwork system that addresses today’s challenges in efficiency, sustainability and occupant health. Unlike traditional duct systems, KoolDuct is fabricated from a fiber-free rigid phenolic insulation panels with a double wall aluminum filament reinforced facing. It’s up to 70% lighter than sheet metal systems with external insulation, making it easier to handle, transport and install. KoolDuct offers superior thermal performance, with an R Value of 6.8 per inch rating, helping projects meet or exceed energy code requirements with less bulk and better efficiency.

KoolDuct’s lightweight design reduces installation time by up to 40%, lowering labor costs and material usage. Reduced air leakage significantly cuts energy consumption, achieving long-term operational cost savings. The system's thin insulation and low thermal conductivity also make it the most thermally efficient solution available.

KoolDuct is the world’s first UL 181-listed rigid phenolic pre-insulated ductwork, achieving superior safety and quality. It’s fabricated off-site in a controlled environment, ensuring fewer installation errors. The system is UL 181 listed and compliant with SMACNA Phenolic Duct Construction Standards, providing peace of mind on every job. The fiber-free, Red-List compliant core minimizes the risk of contaminants entering the airstream, improving indoor air quality. It can also achieve SMACNA Class 3 air-leakage rates, outperforming traditional systems. As the insulation is built into the duct wall rather than wrapped around it, this allows the ductwork to be installed flush against ceilings or walls, saving 6 to 8 inches of vertical space compared to wrapped metal ducts.
