New practice requires electronic filing and less paperwork submitted to NJAB .

Chapters should be aware that the Procedural Rules have been revised to reduce paperwork submitted to the NJAB. The revised submittal procedure requires an electronic copy of a submission in pdf format when submitting documents to the NJAB. In addition, only two hard copy submissions are required when submitting appeals and briefs to the NJAB. As has always been the case, appeals for an upcoming NJAB must be mailed no later than 21 days prior to the next NJAB meeting, and appeals sent between 21 and 25 days prior to a meeting must be sent via overnight mail. A copy of the submittal must be sent to the other party to the dispute. Electronic submissions should be sent to NJAB@SMACNA.org. The electronic filing and reduction in hard copy submissions also applies to grievance documents.
