Session brings together speakers who represent both the Indigenous peoples and the trade leaders who recruit within those communities.

Join SMACNA, SMART, and ITI on June 22nd at 7 p.m. EST for the next BE4ALL Learning Journey webinar: Building Partnerships: Indigenous Pathways into the Trades.
For this Learning Journey, in celebration of Canada’s National Indigenous Peoples Day, we are bringing together speakers representing both Indigenous peoples and the trade leaders who recruit within those communities. We are learning how the distinct Indigenous voices can bring the vision of a city's construction projects to life without sacrificing cultural heritage, working conditions, workers’ empowerment, company expectations, and Indigenous stewardship over unceded land.
On the recruitment side, we will hear about innovative ways that Local 8, in partnership with Trade Winds Success, has built trust and developed programming to appeal to local Indigenous youth. Join us to hear about these recruitment techniques, successes and challenges, and the strength of partnerships in building a workforce.
While our members and the industry focus on recruiting the next generation into our workforce, there’s no better time to join this conversation.
BE4ALL Learning Journeys provide SMACNA and SMART members with information and perspective on a variety of topics, including mental health awareness, workers’ rights, Black History Month, LGBTQ+ Pride Month, Juneteenth, and much more.
