With the September 14 deadline fast approaching, the race for Top Ten and Capitol Caucus recognition remains wide open, and even small gains can make a big difference.
As the 2026 competition year enters its final stretch, chapters across the country are stepping up their support for SMACNA advocacy and industry advancement. With the September 14 deadline fast approaching, the race for Top Ten and Capitol Caucus recognition remains wide open, and even small gains can make a big difference.
SMACNA Southern California currently leads the Top Ten standings, followed by SMACNA Oregon & Southwest Washington and SMACNA Metropolitan Detroit. The Sheet Metal Contractors Association of Oklahoma and NYC SMACNA round out the Top Five, but with just weeks to go, plenty can still change.
Chapters are also making their mark in the Capitol Caucus Recognition Program. Fourteen chapters have already achieved Platinum status, while five have earned Gold and three have secured Silver recognition. These achievements reflect a strong commitment to both industry advocacy and SMACNA initiatives.
One of the most effective ways to boost chapter standing is through support of the SMAC Administrative Fund (SMAC-AF), which advances SMACNA's legislative, regulatory, and political affairs efforts. Chapters such as SMACNA Oregon & Southwest Washington, SMACNA Greater Chicago, and SMACNA Western Washington have shown how strong SMAC-AF participation can translate into competitive success. Want to help your chapter make a final push up the leaderboard? Donate to the SMAC Administrative Fund TODAY:
The finish line is in sight. Whether you're chasing a Top Ten finish, Capitol Caucus recognition, or greater chapter participation, every SMAC-AF contribution helps strengthen the industry's voice.
Where does YOUR chapter stand? With the most competitive weeks around the corner, there's still time to make your move and help your chapter reach its goals!
