Knauf Performance+® fiberglass duct and piping insulation is formaldehyde-free, and Certified Asthma & Allergy Friendly® and Verified Healthier AirTM, so it supports better indoor air quality (IAQ) for schools and students.

Ahead of back-to-school season, the U.S. Green Building Council published a fact sheet providing recommendations for improving IAQ in schools. It’s not surprising as fifty percent of U.S. schools report poor indoor air quality (American Lung Association).
A contributor to indoor air pollution is building materials as they emit volatile organic compounds (VOCs), like formaldehyde into the air. Exposure to these toxins can put installers and school students and staff at risk for numerous health conditions, including dizziness, nausea, and even asthma attacks.
Knauf Performance+® is the first portfolio of fiberglass duct and piping insulation that supports healthier indoor air because it passes stringent tests to be Certified Asthma & Allergy Friendly® and Verified Healthier AirTM. In addition, it’s the only portfolio that’s formaldehyde-free.
