DOL to Host Webinar Series on Prevailing Wages and Fringe Benefits

February 27, May 15, and August 29 sessions will detail requirements under the Davis-Bacon Act, the Service Contract Act, and other similar laws.

The Department of Labor will host seminars on February 27, May 15, and August 29 covering requirements under the Davis-Bacon Act, the Service Contract Act, and other laws that require contractors and subcontractors on specific federally funded projects to pay laborers, mechanics, and service workers the local prevailing wage and fringe benefits.

The US Department of Labor announced its Wage and Hour Division will offer online seminars throughout 2024 for contracting agencies, contractors, unions, workers, and other stakeholders on the requirements for paying prevailing wages on federally funded construction and service contracts.

As part of the division’s effort to increase awareness and improve compliance, each day-long seminar will include sessions on the Davis-Bacon Actthe Service Contract Act, and other related topics. Participants can choose among the sessions offered throughout the day. 

The seminars are scheduled for February 27, May 15, and August 29. Any updates will be posted on the prevailing wage seminar webpage, which includes a video library covering additional topics.

While seminar attendnce is free, registration is required. Additional information, including links to the sessions for each date, will be provided to participants after registration.
