SMACNA Portland recently hosted a Heavy Metal Summer Experience camp and graduation. Campers had the opportunity to learn more about the trades and the apprenticeship process through hands-on instruction and listening to employees and trainers from across the Portland-area trades.

Heavy Metal Summer Experience camps focus on safety, exposing students to all aspects of construction, from BIM through fabrication and installation. All sessions at all Heavy Metal camps are taught by working craft professionals ready to share their career paths and advice.
