PBGC Releases New Interim Rule

Enacted in March 2021, the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (“ARPA”) provides eligible severely underfunded multi-employer pension plans with a lump-sum payment (called “Special Financial Assistance” or “SFA”) that would allow the plan to pay all benefits due through 2051.

EEOC Releases New LGBTQ+ Guidance on Anniversary of Landmark Bostock Ruling

A new technical assistance document aimed at members of the LGBTQ+ community issued by the EEOC last week comes on the one-year anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court decision in Bostock v. Clayton County. The decision protects both applicants and employees from workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.
