To become part of our network and support healthier indoor environments, all you must do is complete a brief 45-minute online course. There's no need for certification; the course completion alone qualifies you for listing. Once you've completed the course, you can provide your contact details, which will be included in the directory.

Getting Started:

To access the online course, follow these simple steps:

1. Click on Ventilation Verification Training.
2. If you're new, click on "Create New Account" at the bottom of the page.
3. Fill in the required fields and click on "Create my Account."
4. Check your email for a confirmation link and use it to confirm your account.
5. Once logged in, enter the Enrollment Code: hez5ip

Updating Your SMACNA Company Profile:

After completing the training, make sure to update your SMACNA company profile to let others know about your Ventilation Verification services:

1. Visit the SMACNA website through the login portal.
2. In our company profile, check the box indicating that your company offers Ventilation Verification Services.

Updating Your SMACNA Personal Profile:

As an individual, it's crucial to update your personal profile as well. By doing this, you can serve as the point of contact for any inquiries related to Ventilation Verification:

1. Access your SMACNA personal profile.
2. In your personal profile, check the box for Ventilation Verification Awareness Training.

By following these steps, you not only get listed on our platform but also contribute to the promotion of healthier indoor air quality.

Indoor Air Quality Certification for Technicians   

1. No prerequisite certification. 
2. Go to icbcertified.org and complete an application for the Indoor Air Quality-Ventilation Verification (IAQ-VV) Technician certification. 
   • Click on Certification 
     • You may need to create an account to proceed. 
   • Check box: Indoor Air Quality - Ventilation Verification Technician 
   • Click on Get Certified Now! 
   • Complete Application and Submit 
     • Visit NEMIOnline.org --> More --> Steps towards Technician Training and Certification 
3. Go to Sheetmetal-iti.org and take the on-line Ventilation Verification for Indoor Air Quality Technician course. 
   • Click on Ventilation Verification for Indoor Air Quality 
   • Complete Course
4. Save a digital copy of the Completion Certificate
   • Notify the Administrator of the Training Center to schedule the IAQ - Ventilation Verification exam. 
   • Send to your local JATC Coordinator.
5. Schedule with Administrator of the Training Center to come to the Training Center for practical hands-on training with a certified IAQ - Ventilation Verification instructor.
   • Administrator of the Training Center will schedule the on-site training. 
     • Review IAQ - VV Technician Knowledge Base 
     • Practical Hands-on Training
6. Upon completion of the on-site training, the Administrator will proctor the IAQ-VV Technician Examination. 

Indoor Air Quality Certification for Supervisors

1. No prerequisite certification but must meet eligibility requirements. See ICB Certification Manual for details. 
2. Go to icbcertified.org and complete an application for the Indoor Air Quality-Ventilation Verification (IAQ-VV) Supervisor certification. 
   • Click on Certification 
     • You may need to create an account to proceed. 
   • Check box: Indoor Air Quality - Ventilation Verification Supervisor 
   • Click on Get Certified Now! 
   • Complete Application and Submit 
     • Visit NEMIOnline.org --> More --> Steps towards Supervisor Training and Certification 
   • Once your application is approved, ICB will send you an “Enrollment Code” for the course and instructions for access to the course. 
3. Go to NEMI Training and take the on-line Ventilation Verification for Indoor Air Quality Supervisor course. 
   • Login or click on “Create New Account” (at bottom of page). 
     • Fill in the required fields and click on “Create my Account” (at bottom of page). 
     • You will be sent a confirmation email, for which you use to confirm your account. 
   • Once logged in, enter the Enrollment Code. 
   • Complete Course
4. Schedule with Administrator of the Training Center to come to the Training Center to take the examination - the Administrator will proctor the IAQ - VV Supervisor Examination. 
5. Upon successful completion of the IAQ-VV Supervisor examination, contact ICB to apply for IAQ - VV Contractor certification.
