SMACNA and SMART are welcoming Emerging Leaders once again to the 2024 Partners in Progress Conference, a remarkable opportunity to network and professionally grow.
How to Nominate Emerging Leaders:
Please email Katie Kirchner (kjkirchner4@gmail.com) with contact details of your Emerging Leader nominees including name, company/chapter/local union, phone number, and email address. Every local area can send two Emerging Leaders to the Conference, one nominated by the union and another by the chapter.
Who Are Emerging Leaders?
An Emerging Leader can be anyone in the industry who demonstrates leadership potential. The only requirements are that nominees must be under the age of 35 and must have at least one or more current representative(s) from the local area or chapter registered to attend the Conference.
What Will Emerging Leaders Receive?
- Two Free Registrations: We are waiving their registration fees.
- Returning Emerging Leaders: Active participants in the post-2022 Conference Emerging Leader activities, will again be able to attend the 2024 Partners in Progress with waived registration fees.
- Partners in Progress will register all Emerging Leaders for the local parties.

Leadership is learned; the skills necessary to communicate, inspire trust, and coalition build takes time to develop. Likewise, understanding our industry’s future, both the struggles and successes at the highest levels, brings exposure to the entire industry and knowledge of industry best practices.
