SMACNA Joins Other Organizations Urging New Jersey to Increase Energy Efficiency

SMACNA joins to cosign letter from the Northeast Chapter of the Combined Heat and Power Alliance to the Secretary of the Board of Public Utilities outlines the benefits of increased energy efficiency and CHP technology in reducing carbon emissions.

SMACNA joined fellow signatory organizations of the Northeast Chapter of the Combined Heat and Power Alliance in a letter submitting comments to New Jersey’s Secretary of the Board of Public Utilities endorsing a recent New Jersey Clean Energy Program analysis outlining the benefits of Combined Heat and Power Technology. Some of the benefits outlined in this study include reducing CO2 emissions compared to older technologies and improved energy efficiency throughout the grid.

SMACNA enthusiastically endorsed the conclusions of the Fiscal Year 2024 Comprehensive Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy Resource Analysis of the New Jersey Clean Energy Program intended to advance the State toward Governor Murphy’s Executive Order 315 goal and to recognize the value of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and distributed energy resources as foundational energy resources.
