On Wednesday, July 19 at 2pm ET, SMACNA members can attend the free webinar, Optimizing IAQ & Energy Efficiency with Sorbent Ventilation Technology. Presented by Chip Grech, Applications Engineer at SMACNA Gold Associate Member company Daikin Applied, this presentation will cover how sorbent ventilation technology works and why it can drastically help SMACNA contractors' customers save money and improve energy efficiency.
With a heightened awareness and need for improved Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) contractors can learn from this webinar how to apply Sorbent Ventilation Technology so they can successfully help their customers achieve improved IAQ in new and energy efficient ways.
Key takeaways from this webinar will include:
- Facts on how filtering the air with a sorbent will allow recirculation of air within the space and requires less outside air.
- How reducing the amount of outside air required may reduce the capacity required of the air handler, thus saving operating costs.
- An overview of how ASHRAE standard 62.1 offers another method for calculating the amount of outside air needed, along with how it has taken away the risk for engineers regarding these calculations.
